Program Details & Frequently Asked Questions

What Do I Need for Class?
Approval from your healthcare provider is required for class participation if you are less than six months postpartum.
Most sturdy baby strollers will work, however, umbrella strollers are not recommended.
Water bottles are required for class; water fountains will be available en route for refills.
A towel for ground exercises.
Comfortable workout clothes and proper fitting running or walking sneakers (Keds, slip-ons, or fashionable sneakers are not recommended).

What Does Your Child Need for Class?
A stroller, hat, sun block, snacks, toys, diapers, blanket.

What Can I Expect?
Arrive 15 minutes before class begins to insure you are ready to go. Your coach will greet participants and make introductions and announcements.

Class will begin on time with a 5-10 minute warm-up followed by the day’s workout goal. Class will then depart on the set route.

How Old Does My Baby Have to Be?
We recommend waiting until your baby is at least 6 weeks of age to begin class. Your child can take class at any age as long as he or she still enjoys a ride in the stroller. Double strollers are welcomed.

Who Teaches the Class?
Each coach is certified in the field of perinatal fitness, infant/adult CPR, and is professionally trained. They also hold personal training certifications, which will guarantee that every minute of your workout is valuable.

Where is the Class Held?
The meeting point all classes is at Oz Park in Lincoln Park in front of the Scarecrow sculpture (northeast corner of park at Webster Street and Larrabee Street).

Is Parking Available?
There is street parking along all of the streets that line Oz Park; Webster, Dickens, and Larrabee Street. Metered parking is also an option along Halsted Street between Dickens and Webster.

What if the Weather is Bad —
How Will I Know if Class is Cancelled?
We will hold class outdoors in most weather, including light rain. The class course will be adjusted to accommodate these conditions. Class WILL BE held indoors for extreme or dangerous conditions (e.g., lightning, extreme heat or cold). Location of indoor classes to be annunced.

If you are unsure, please call 773.505.3945, 45 minutes before class starts to find out what location to meet at.
