Program Details
& Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect?
Participants will meet at The Coaching Center (2400 N. Sheffield
Ave) to drop off personal belongings and have the opportunity
to change into workout clothes. Arrive early to insure you
are ready to go at 6:30pm.
The Coach will lead you through
a 5-minute warm-up and give you an overview of the day’s
workout goal. Each class will begin
and end with at least a 1/2
mile run to and from a local park.
Once at the park Coach will keep things lively by integrating
push-ups, squats, lunges and other strength builders, with calisthenics designed to build cardiovascular
and muscular endurance.
Bootcamp ’08
class is an intermediate to advanced class.
Because
the program involves running, you should be able to complete
one mile successfully without stopping. Everyone is encouraged
to work at his or her own pace. A complete workout
is guaranteed for every fitness level.
What's the difference between Bootcamp and FUNctional Fitness?
Bootcamp is an advanced class and participants will be required to run 2-3 miles, including running to the park. FUNctional Fitness class is a beginner-intermediate class and starts in the park. Some running or jogging will be included, and exercises are at an intermediate level.
Where does class
meet?
The meeting site for class is at The Coaching Center, 2400
N. Sheffield Avenue in Lincoln Park (corner of Sheffield &
Fullerton). There is a validated parking lot in front of the
Center, $2 for up to 4 hours. Or the Fullerton El stop (Brown,
Purple and Red line) is across the street.
What if the weather is bad
— how will I know if class is cancelled?
We will hold class in most weather, including rain, wind,
and heat. The class’s program will be adjusted to accommodate
these conditions. If class is cancelled due to extreme conditions, participants will be contacted by email 90 minutes prior to class. Class will be rescheduled for the next day — Tuesday.
If you are unsure, please call 773.505.3945,
45 minutes before class starts to find out if class will be
